About Rohit Kumar

Rohit Kumar is presently pursuing Ph.D (Power Electronics and Drive)(Synopsis done), in the Electrical Engineering Department, at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. Master graduate in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technical Teachers Training & Research, Chandigarh. In Ph.D, he has worked on the challenges of the gird side converter AC-DC as well as the drive side DC-AC converter of the Medium Voltage Induction Motor Drive. Hence, he has developed various configurations of the multi-winding transformer for the following number of pulse converters and verified them in Matlab/Simulink as well as in Hardware. Three phase system based: 18-Pulse, 24-Pulse, 36-Pulse, 54-Pulse2. Three-phase to five-phase conversion-based system: 30-Pulse, 50-Pulse and 60-Pulse Apart from this, Drive side he has developed the following Multilevel inverter configuration in Matlab/Simulink as well as in Hardware.1. CVSI: 4-level, 5-level, 6-level and 7-level2. CHB-MLI: 5-level, 7-level, and 13-level3. RS-CHB MLI: 5-level, 7-level, 9-level, 11-level, and 13-level4. Hybrid MLI: 5-level, 6-level and 7-levelHe has tested all these power converters in hardware for various operating conditions of the drive system. High-frequency PWM: PSPWM, LSPWM,2. Fundamental frequency based: SHE, NLC, AEMS3. Induction Motor Control: IFOC He has two years of teaching experience. He has more than 20 Research Articles (19 Conference papers and 8 papers in Transactions on Industry Applications and Transactions on Industrial Electronics) to his credit.
