About Rohit K. Katial
Dr. Rohit Katial is a highly accomplished allergist, clinical immunologist, internal medicine physician, and professor with a career spanning over 25 years with a global recognition among medical experts. Highly innovative with a respected track record in clinical research, teaching, clinical care, and in the pharmaceutical industry. Excellent communication skills, invited to deliver lectures worldwide on a variety of respiratory, allergic and immune topics. Served as the Principal Investigator for industry, foundation and self-funded clinical research. Have conducted over 100 industry clinical trials. Dr. Katial has authored numerous original publications and edited book chapters on airway, eosinophilic and immunologic diseases. He has also led several trials analyzing immune response to vaccines in the setting of primary immune deficiency and airway disease. Among these are induction among the “Best Doctors in America” as well as “Best Doctors in US News and World Report.” He was also selected to the “Denver’s Magazine 5280 Top Doctors.” Dr. Katial has worked in the pharmaceutical industry both at a market level and as global head of brand, setting medical strategy, encompassing cross functional team support, while collaborating with Clinical Development, Clinical Evidence, Value and Outcomes and Medical Information groups. He lead evidence generation plans and drove innovative concepts externally. He has a broad external network and an international reputation within the respiratory and immunology specialty areas. Dr. Katial is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Allergy and Immunology with specialty certification in Clinical Diagnostic and Laboratory Immunology. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, as well as the American College of Physicians. Currently, Dr. Katial is Professor of Medicine at National Jewish Health and the University of Colorado, at the same time assuming key roles as the Associate Vice President of Education, the Director for the Center for Clinical Immunology, and the Irene J. & Dr. Abraham E. Goldminz, Chair in Immunology and Respiratory Medicine.
