About Rohit Jhajara

I’m a 5th-year Integrated M.Sc. Chemistry student at Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat. My studies focus on both the theory and practical aspects of chemistry. Right now, my main research is about creating and using new types of covalent organic framework (COF) materials, which can be useful in areas like catalysis, energy storage, and more. I have also gained valuable experience from internships at top institutions like IIT Mandi and ONGC. During these internships, I worked on understanding molecular interactions linked to Alzheimer’s disease, carried out quality control tests, and learned advanced analytical techniques like ICP-MS and ICP-OES. Beyond my studies, I have shown leadership and teamwork skills by taking on roles like advisor for Sparsh 2024 and joint hostel secretary at SVNIT Surat. I’ve also proudly represented NIT Surat in the All India Inter-NIT Basketball Tournaments and earned top spots in inter-year championships. I’m excited to continue developing my research skills and aim to pursue a Ph.D. in Chemistry, focusing on innovative solutions in COF materials. I’m looking forward to connecting with professionals in this field to explore new opportunities and make an impact in advanced material science.
