Serve as UNICEF HQ focal point for data and analyses related to climate and environment- Lead global, regional and country level collection and analysis of data on child-related climate and environmental risks, and provide technical guidance as needed- Product lead for Geosphere, a generative Geo AI solution that uses natural language to enable non-technical users to access climate data- Carry out in-depth analysis and interpretation of data related to climate and environmental risks facing children, including contributions to UNICEF flagship publications, peer reviewed journal articles- Support the visualization and dissemination of data, estimates and other products to maximize their use for advocacy, policies, programming and planning purposes- Provide technical inputs to the methodological development of indicators and standards for measurement and monitoring of adaptation and resilience to climate and environmental risks- Contribute to on-going improvements in availability, quality and accessibility of data for decision making. Test tools in field situations, develop guidelines for their use and provide support for implementation at country level- Contribute towards building the capacity of regional and country offices and national stakeholders to systematically monitor climate and environmental risks facing children- Build and maintain partnerships with other UN agencies or organizations/institutions working in relevant areas- Lead or participate in interagency monitoring groups and partnerships with regard to climate and environmental monitoring and statistics- Contribute to regular sharing of data and related products with partners at the global, regional, and country levels- Represent UNICEF at international meetings and support fundraising activities and reporting to donors.

I predominantly enjoy doing few things- Diverse applications of Geospatial Science (especially in Disaster Risk Reduction, environmental management, international development, food security and health)- Learning about management, leadership and organizational behavior- Public speaking and technical communication, especially on the topics that I am hyper passionate about- Arguing about why individuals can equally contribute to achieving the SDGs- Hiking active volcanoes ignoring the very risk I preach about and ending up contemplating a lot on why it is hard to influence institutional policies on DRR if I struggle to convince my own self on risks- Reading non-fictional books while drinking a lot of coffee (drop me a message if you have a good suggestion)All posts and opinion are my own and do not reflect the stance of any of my employers or associations.
