About Rohini Subramanian
I quit my high-paying full-time bank job after my MBA to build something of my own, only to fail in my first venture and fall into debt. That phase forced me into freelancing, leveraging content writing to settle my debt. What started as survival became a skill — and eventually, a gateway into the business world. After that, I’ve worn every hat — from freelance writer to senior content writer in an agency, building personal brands for 30+ founders, to leading as Head of Content at a US-based MNC. Along the way, I worked across roles most people specialize in — customer support, sales, business development, content, and marketing. This wasn’t by design — it was by necessity. And it gave me a full-stack understanding of how businesses actually breathe, grow, and scale. More importantly, it showed me this: Businesses don’t just need strategy — they need the right narrative, distribution, and people. That’s where I operate today. Entrepreneurs of Madras is one of Tamil Nadu’s most active startup ecosystems — bringing together founders, operators, and investors building global brands from the South. As part of the founding team and CMO, I drive brand, growth, and ecosystem strategy — scaling it to 50+ events, 500+ founders, and 1500+ participants, turning community into real business outcomes. Through SuperMatch, we’re solving a critical gap — reimagining hiring as “matchmaking,” connecting high-potential, driven talent with startups that actually need them. Beyond this, I work closely with founders — mentoring and hands-on guiding them to build strong personal brands, craft their narratives, and take their stories to the masses. We strongly believe the next wave of global brands will come from the South.And our mission is to provide the narrative, the talent, and the ecosystem to make that inevitable.
