ABOUT ROHAN SOOD

I am a Master\'s Grad in Computer Science at the University of Ottawa, passionate about developing innovative solutions using cutting-edge technologies. I am looking for a summer full time opportunities in data science and MLops, where I can apply my skills and learn from experienced mentors.I have experience in working on various projects related to machine learning, deep learning and natural language processing. Some of my recent projects are- Phishing Detection System: Developed a phishing detection system using only URLs to detect malicious content with an accuracy of 98%. Used Python, PyTorch, and transformers (RoBERTa) to accomplish the same- Human Emotion Detection using Neural Networks: Implemented a Convolutional Neural Network to detect 7 human emotions such as happy, fear, anger, disgust, neutral, sad, and surprise from an image as well as a still taken from a live video feed. Achieved a training set accuracy of 98.1% and a test set Accuracy of 67.19%.I have strong programming skills in Python, Java,HTML, CSS, JS and SQL. I am also familiar with frameworks and tools such as PyTorch, Keras, Scikit-learn, NLTK, React.I am eager to learn new things and take on new challenges. I believe that I can contribute to the success of any project with my creativity, problem-solving skills, and teamwork spirit.
