About Rohan Kanade
I’m an MBA candidate at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business, focused on finance and investments. My goal is to pursue a career in investment management, where I can bring a disciplined, data-driven approach to evaluating opportunities, managing risk, and contributing to portfolio strategy, asset analysis, and capital allocation.Currently, I’m a Fund Management Intern at Fund Launch, supporting investment research and fund operations. Alongside this, I work as a Graduate Assistant in MBA & MS Admissions, where I guide prospective students through the admissions process while balancing a rigorous academic workload. These experiences have sharpened my communication, analytical, and time management skills—critical traits for success in investment roles.Before business school, I worked as a Data Analyst at ANZ for nearly three years, analyzing financial trends and supporting enterprise reporting. Earlier in my career, I spent four years at Wipro in project engineering roles, leading teams and delivering results under tight deadlines. While my early career was rooted in technology, I chose to transition into finance to align my work with my long-standing interest in capital markets and investment strategy.With a background in engineering (B.E. in Electronics and Communications) and a strong foundation in analytics, I’m now fully focused on applying my quantitative skills to finance. I’m especially interested in equity research, asset management, and investment banking roles where I can analyze businesses, support deal execution, and contribute to long-term value creation.Outside of work, I enjoy biking, running 10Ks, reading business and self-help books, and unwinding by watching movies and web series.I\'m always looking to grow my personal and professional network.
