In addition to responsibilities described earlier under Applications Support Analyst, I assume the following roles:Information Technology Disaster Recovery Lead - I oversee the IT Department Business Continuity Plans in their development, maintenance, and relevancy- Schedule weekly routine tests to ensure the backup data center is correctly mirroring applications, services and storage repositories that are designated as critical to core business operations- Facilitate bi-annual exercises out of our disaster recovery facility involving BCP Leads and Managers from each department as we simulate a complete loss to all Vancouver facilities and centers- Continued maintenance and health checks of two disaster recovery sites.Tableau Administrator (Server and Application)- Overseeing application maintenance through: User management, extract refresh schedules and their impacts to overall server health, security reviews of extension requests, and various other health checks- Reviewing Server health and maintenance through: Data backups, establishing server performance benchmarks, and reporting on storage capacity, feature usage and cluster management. Facilitate Ad-Hoc, Company Wide and Departmental Training Sessions- As the pandemic took hold and non-trading staff were required to work remotely, we rolled out Microsoft 365 products in a fashion not typical of Powerex customs. This necessitated company-wide webinar style training sessions which I hosted on several occasions that covered multiple topics or applications (Teams, To Do, Planner, OneDrive, Office Online etc.) This was complemented with the development of a self-help portal containing training materials, guides, tips and tricks, FAQ’s, and links to external resources with the goal of ensuring staff and contractors were armed with the knowledge and training needed in products that enable effective collaboration and efficient communication with fellow peers.
