Prepare and review journal entries for pension income/expense, actuarial gains/losses, contributions, and settlements. Ensure the Balance Sheet presentation of the Net Defined Benefit Liability/Asset and Pension Plan Assets is accurate and compliant with relevant accounting standards (e.g, IAS 19). Work closely with external actuaries and internal stakeholders (HR, Treasury) to collate, review, and validate actuarial valuation data and assumptions for global pension schemes. Analyze and explain the drivers of pension movements, including service cost, net interest cost, remeasurements (actuarial gains/losses), and return on plan assets. Prepare Management Information (MI) reports, analysis, and commentaries for senior management on pension funding status, P&L impact, and risk exposures. Provide financial expertise for pension-related projects, entity restructuring, or plan amendments. Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations related to pension balances.
