Owner @Helion & Company Ltd
Warwick, GB
I founded Helion in 1996, and have now grown it to become one of the premier publishers of military history in the English language. Helion publishes approximately 150 new titles a year.Notable marketing successes include obtaining an author interview on Radio 4\'s \'Today\' programme with John Humphreys, a growing number of reviews in national press including \'The Times\',\'Daily Express\',\'Daily Mirror\' and \'Times Literary Supplement\', and a non-fiction top 10 bestseller with WH Smith.Helion is an accredited Associate Publisher of AUSA (Association of the United States Army).Current responsibilities span all strategic, commercial and financial aspects of the company.I have also created and run an internship programme for students in the final year of their War Studies degree at the University of Wolverhampton. I also originated and oversaw a series of major prizes for First World War scholarship being run in conjunction with the Western Front Association. In the past five years Helion has created and won acclaim for a number of important series of books, notably the various @War series (Africa, Asia, Middle East, Latin America and Europe) covering post-1945 conflicts, besides Retinue to Regiment (c 14••••18), Century of the Soldier (16••••21), Reason to Revolution (17••••15) and Musket to Maxim (18••••14).I am actively developing further new series and always keen to connect with potential authors and commercial partners.
