I am a physician executive and board leader with decades of frontline clinical experience informing my work in hospital and health plan governance. As Board Chair of Chinese Hospital and the Chinese Community Health Plan in San Francisco, I partner closely with executive teams, elected officials, and healthcare leaders to advance strategic priorities, financial stewardship, and sustainable community-based care. My clinical background as a practicing radiologist and department chair provides practical insight into care delivery, physician engagement, and operational decision-making at the board level. I bring a collaborative, mission-driven approach to building trusted partnerships that strengthen safety-net institutions and improve access and outcomes.

   Chinese Community Health Plan is a San Francisco–based nonprofit health plan founded in 1986 to advance access to affordable, high-quality coverage for the communities it serves. Closely aligned with Chinese Hospital, CCHP functions as a critical safety-net partner, supporting continuity of care for vulnerable, immigrant, and underserved populations. The plan plays an important role in public–private collaboration to expand coverage and stabilize access to care in a highly regulated environment. As a Trustee and current Board Chair, I work with executive leadership, regulators, and community stakeholders to ensure strong governance, financial sustainability, and alignment with regional and state health policy priorities.
