ABOUT ROGER PUJOL ROURA

As a very ambitious, energetic mechanical and composite design engineer, I have gained experience in the motorsport and automotive sector. This includes efficient maintenance and coordination of compliant assemblies, drawings, BoMs and engineering documentation such as ply-books. I share mechanical engineering knowledge with colleagues and teams, including CATIA V5 and Siemens NX advanced software. I have utilised diverse manufacturing methods for parts and materials, particularly composite materials and carbon fibre parts.In motorsport and automotive engineering, I am educated in the design of components, CFD simulations and structural analysis. A key project includes designing a set of rim covers for the first Formula Student Electric Car for Oxford Brookes Racing. My mechanical design expertise has enabled resolution of complex engineering problems, including the use of finite element analysis (FEA) in real-world scenarios, whilst maximising SolidWorks to conceptualise surface and component designs for automotive parts.As an individual and team player, I have been actively involved in the testing phase to perform durability, reliability and functionality testing of automotive engines. I have also written test specifications and conducted tests to meet project requirements.In a composite design role, I confidently undertake and guide designs from initial concept to prototype assembly, generating detailed specifications and manuals for various composite components.My academic credentials include an MSc in motorsport engineering, a master\'s in industrial/mechanical engineering and a bachelor\'s degree in industrial technology engineering, with further professional training in CATIA V5 and Siemens NX.
