About Roger P. Jackson

Roger Jackson officially retired in January of 2024 after 39 1/2 years at FFKR Architects. He was a Senior Principal and served for 7 1/2 years (20••••21) as President of the firm. Roger is known for his skill in realistic drawing. He utilizes drawing in the design process to figure things out and detail in full scale, to really understand the answer. A project that influenced the future of his career was the conversion of historic Hotel Utah Building in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah to the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, finished in 1993. Roger has contributed to traditional design in Utah through his projects: East High School, Brigham City Temple, Utah State Office Buildings, Provo City Center Temple Rebuild and recently the Salt Lake Temple Rebuild. He also designed the LDS temples in Tucson, Arizona, Hartford, Connecticut, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Pocatello, Idaho. He considers projects to be truly complete once people are enjoying the spaces we helped to create.
