I\'m looking for my next challenge as a leader of software development and delivery.I am open to Director and leadership roles in software engineering, quality and programme management.As a director of engineering at Arm I focused on quality and this leads to setting of the vision and strategy on all aspects of development. From design, architecture and requirements, customer feedback and desires, through engineering and making the flow as efficient as possible for engineers to be able to deliver quality code and features at speed.Managing Programmes of projects contributes another level of complexity to the almost insurmountable chaos of software development. Without the right levels of control, things can very quickly go wrong, but also too much control can lead to suffocating creativity - a balance must be found. Agile/Lean methodology allows freedom and autonomy within the team, but also gives transparency and agility to the product managers and the business.Understanding the higher level of control that Prince 2 can give, and how this fits well with delivery, has made something incredibly complex much clearer—using management by exception, management in stages, as well as enabling continuous business justification and a firm setting of roles and responsibilities.Good communication, a focus on quality and a very wide understanding of our business are the essential tools I use every day.Specialties: All aspects of SDLC, Prince 2, Agile, Lean DMAIC, Testing and QA, Financial Risk, Pricing and Back office, COntent Delivery Networks and Semiconductior Industries, software Implementation and Client facing skills learned from experience.
