About Roger M. MacKlis

After training in Radiation Oncology at various Harvard-affiliated hospitals, Dr Macklis was recruited to chair the reorganized radiation oncology department at Cleveland Clinic in 1993 and built the program into a nationally ranked academic enterprise with industry, biotech, and quality of care initiatives. In 2014 he moved to a sister institution within the Case Comprehensve Cancer Center, the University Hospitals of Cleveland with its affiliated healthcare system. Now combining clinical oncology care, healthcare quality consulting, biofinance and venture capital due diligence, and research/teaching on radiation sciences and value-based oncology care especially in the areas of lymphoma, breast cancer, and metastatic disease. After serving for 10 years on the medicolegal review committee at Cleveland Clinic, he now is now continuing to consult part-time as an independent expert witness in malpractice especially alleged radiation overdoses and radiation toxicity cases. He is continuing as a Clinical Professor of Radiation Oncology at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center and Case Western Reserve University
