Highlights are: • Established a time charging procedure that met the standards of Accounting and DCMA that distributes labor charges across all impacted programs. Net effect of this was the movement of $10M of support costs to direct labor costs annually. • Developed and executed an outsource plan for the Calibration Lab to free up existing technicians and engineers who were performing on site Calibration services and moved these services to an outside vendor. Created $5M cost avoidance for the capital budget by eliminating the need to procure Calibration Standards necessary to support the higher frequency equipment. Freed up of 15 technicians to perform test tasks for the companies growing business Freed up precious lab space at a critical time of growth for the business. Reduced Calibration Services budget by $2M cost savings the year that it was outsourced. • Transformed Environmental & EMI Lab from being the companies dungeons into “must-see-labs’ for customer tours that now weekly demonstrate our capabilities as a world class design facility. • Reduced test turnaround time in the SPEA lab from over twenty days while testing only 20% of the CCA’s built to under two days and have held this reduced turnaround time for the past ten years while increasing the number of CCA’s tested to over 90%. • Worked with HR and Accounting to create the Tester role to free up technicians to do more technical work and effectively saved the company $10 per billable hour for 60 plus employees. • Successfully requested and installed $5M of test capital improvements on time and under budget. • Developed product realization reports that identify potential manufacturing delays for development programs.
