Launched new products and indications in neurology and psychiatry. Diverse experience across all phases of clinical drug development with regulatory interactions for common, rare, and ultra-rare diseases and across multiple drug platforms. Experienced leader and manager of multidisciplinary teams with the ability to integrate diverse information, think strategically, and develop innovative solutions to complex issues. Developed multiple colleagues to senior leadership positions. Bristol University Medical School, UK (1984). Master of Public Health, Columbia University, New York (1998). After 5 years in pediatrics & general medicine entered Roche, UK early clinical development in 1989. In global medical with Pfizer NYC (19••••01) led global clinical development and medical support for the commercialization of Zoloft. At Novartis (2001-10) as Disease Area Section Head for Dementia in Clinical Development and Medical Affairs, ideated and led development of Exelon capsules for Parkinson’s disease dementia and the Exelon transdermal patch for Alzheimer’s. In 2010 joined BMS as Development and Medical Affairs Lead for a series of triple monoamine reuptake inhibitors. At Ionis from 2014, as Head of Neurology Clinical Development, led the clinical development strategy, design, and execution of Phase 1-3 trials for drug candidates in common, rare and ultra-rare neurological and neuromuscular disorders. Authored over 100 peer reviewed publications, including 30 review articles, and inventor of 3 patents.My goal is to leverage all of my experiences to make a difference for patients and their families by fundamentally impacting the disease mechanisms and the course of devastating and hitherto untreatable neurological and neuromuscular diseases.
