At Novartis (2001-10) as Disease Area Section Head for Dementia in Clinical Development and Medical Affairs, ideated and led development of Exelon capsules for Parkinson’s disease dementia and the Exelon transdermal patch for Alzheimer’s. In 2010 joined BMS as Development and Medical Affairs Lead for a series of triple monoamine reuptake inhibitors. At Ionis from 2014, as Head of Neurology Clinical Development, led the clinical development strategy, design, and execution of Phase 1-3 trials for drug candidates in common, rare and ultra-rare neurological and neuromuscular disorders. Authored over 100 peer reviewed publications, including 30 review articles, and inventor of 3 patents.My goal is to leverage all of my experiences to make a difference for patients and their families by fundamentally impacting the disease mechanisms and the course of devastating and hitherto untreatable neurological and neuromuscular diseases.
