Lead enterprise-wide strategy, multi year vision, and market positioning; drive growth, margin improvement, and backlog quality. • Full P&L responsibility including cash management, budgeting, capital allocation, WIP, and working capital performance (DSO, AR/AP). • Oversee all delivery models (lump sum, GMP, cost plus) and portfolio mix; evaluate new markets, clients, and geographies. • Standardize operations and field performance: SOPs, Lean/LDOR systems, daily huddles, tailboards, JSAs/JHAs, and continuous improvement. • Strengthen QA/QC: compaction/density, pressure/leak tests, mandrel pulls, megger/dielectric testing, OTDR for fiber, and accurate as builts. • Manage large-scale underground and overhead operations: trenching/excavation, conduit/cable placement, structure setting, switching, and energized work protocols. • Optimize fleet/tools: utilization, lifecycle planning, maintenance, CARB compliance, telematics, and yard/shop readiness. • Build subcontractor/supplier ecosystem: safety, prequalification, diverse supplier development, and material lead-time mitigation. • Grow strategic accounts with utilities, municipalities, telecom carriers, and developers; lead MSA/task order negotiations and resolve escalations/claims. • Support strong labor relations with IBEW, Laborers, Operating Engineers, and Teamsters; ensure workforce stability and craft pipeline development. • Modernize technology and data systems: ERP, project controls, GIS/CMMS, fleet telematics, field management tools (e.g, Vitruvi), real time dashboards, and cybersecurity. • Lead brand, community engagement, DEI efforts, sustainability initiatives, and represent MEI with customers, agencies, and industry groups. • Report to owners/Board: enterprise KPIs, strategy execution, compliance, ethics, and corrective actions.
