ABOUT ROGER GINGERICH

As CEO of the Canadian International Fashion Film Festival and its global platform, Fashion.Film, I have dedicated my career to showcasing Canadian creativity on the world stage. With over 40 years of experience in the creative industries, I am passionate about positioning Canada as a premier destination for innovation, talent, and cultural exchange — and unlocking the economic benefits that come from investing in our industries, people, and places.My work focuses on building strategic partnerships that connect fashion, film, music, and the arts with economic development. Through and our global initiatives, we spotlight Canadian content and creators while drawing international talent and business opportunities to our cities. I’ve seen firsthand how cultural platforms drive tourism, empower youth, and strengthen local economies — and I remain committed to expanding those opportunities for Canadians at home and abroad.I also serve on the Board of Directors of the Commonwealth Fashion Council (CFC), based in London, UK — an international body representing 56 nations dedicated to fashion education, gender equity, youth development, and creative diplomacy. My leadership on this board further reflects my belief in Canada’s role as a global leader in values-based cultural commerce.Previously, I held leadership roles on the boards of Fashion Group International Toronto and Canada Fashion Group Inc, where I helped steer the country’s largest fashion weeks and amplify the national fashion sector.Whether through global collaborations, creative events, or economic strategy, my focus remains clear: to champion Canada as a place where creativity fuels prosperity, and where the world is invited to experience everything we have to offer.
