About Rogelio C.

I serve as Director of Operations for Emergency Food Network, where I provide strategic leadership for the operational infrastructure that supports large-scale food distribution across Pierce County. Our work connects donors, community partners, and agencies through a coordinated logistics network designed to ensure consistent access to nutritious food for the communities we serve.I bring more than 20 years of military leadership experience to my nonprofit operations role, where I developed expertise in logistics coordination, team leadership, operational planning, and mission-focused execution in high-pressure environments. That foundation continues to shape how I approach organizational leadership — with an emphasis on accountability, resilience, and disciplined execution in service of community impact. At Emergency Food Network, my responsibilities span warehouse logistics, transportation fleet oversight, facility operations, inventory systems, safety leadership, and performance management. I focus on building resilient operational frameworks that improve efficiency, strengthen stewardship of resources, and position the organization to respond effectively to both routine distribution needs and periods of increased community demand.Throughout my career, I’ve prioritized operational stewardship — aligning fiscal responsibility, data-informed decision making, and preventive infrastructure management with mission-driven service. Strong operations create trust with donors, confidence with partners, and stability for the communities relying on our work.My leadership approach emphasizes developing high-performing teams, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement, and ensuring operational strategy supports long-term organizational sustainability. I believe nonprofit operations are not simply support functions — they are critical drivers of mission impact, community trust, and organizational resilience.Looking ahead, I remain committed to strengthening regional food system collaboration, modernizing nonprofit logistics practices, and contributing to executive-level conversations around equitable food access, operational innovation, and sustainable community infrastructure.
