ABOUT ROESHAWN DANIELS
It’s no secret — I’m passionate about glass. From its complexity to its beauty, glass has always fascinated me, and I’ve dedicated my career to understanding and improving its many forms.I hold a B.S. in Glass Engineering Science from Alfred University (2024) and an A.A.S. in Chemical Technology from Corning Community College (2016). Currently, I work as a Process Improver in float glass production, where I focus on maintaining and optimizing the tin bath and lehr in the hot end — a role that challenges and excites me every day.Previously, I worked as a Furnace Engineer at O-I, where I designed and repaired furnaces using AutoCAD to extend asset life and improve operational efficiency. I also supported ULE glass development projects, collaborating closely with technical leads and maintaining lab operations to ensure project success.My early career was rooted in R&D as a Chemical Technician (2016–2023), where I specialized in materials characterization — particularly thermal analysis, chemical durability testing, and ICP-OES. I was responsible for maintaining analytical instruments and troubleshooting issues, and I became skilled in interpreting technical data and communicating findings clearly to internal stakeholders and customers.
