As an Engineering Manager, I am responsible for the delivery of my team (7 Senior Software Engineers). I need to look after each individual contributor in the team to create the perfect environment for them to perform at their best, and grow in their professional career to achieve all their objectives in alignment with the company\'s objectives. The team is Agile and distributed in several locations (Munich, Kyiv, and Bangalore) and we develop the Web, Android, and iOS apps facing the company\'s customers. I am responsible for keeping a healthy delivery rate and maintaining a great work environment. To ensure this we keep performance metrics, constant refinement of our processes, and alignment with the product manager to achieve the OKRs of the team. Also, we maintain our Tech debt roadmap to keep our codebase updated and be sure we clean up our code when A/B tests end or functionality is deprecated.
