ABOUT RODRIGO STANGE TESSINARI
Since the start of my Research appointment at the University of Bristol, I have had the opportunity to work on various technical projects involving academic, industrial, and commercial partners. As a result, I acquired hands-on experience with cutting-edge technology on classical and quantum optical networks and published over a dozen works on highly prestigious venues. I contributed to several public demonstrations, including Bristol\'s metropolitan quantum network, the UK\'s first dynamic switched quantum-secured optical network. My formation and my 13 years of experience in Research and Development projects, allowed me to develop an in-depth knowledge of telecommunications, computer engineering, computer science, and quantum networking, culminating in a unique and holistic view of modern communication networks. This knowledge allows my research to explore complex inter-disciplinary topics, bridging the gap between the high-level software abstractions and the low-level hardware bits and signals, including hardware-software interfacing. Besides research, I also have experience performing administrative/management activities, such as coordinating project-related tasks such as demos, scientific writing, lecturing, and equipment procurement. My expertise fields include (in no particular order), Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and Quantum Secured Networks, Software Designed Networks (SDN), Hardware Disaggregation and Network Management (Yang and Netconf), Network Resource Allocation and Optimisation, Optical Networks Devices and Technologies (e.g. Optical Transport Networks - OTN), and Network Simulation (e.g. OMNeT++). This expertise led to over 20 published works and over 90 citations. Link to my Google Scholar profile: short, I am flexible, quick to pick up new skills and eager to learn from others. I am an organized and motivated professional with high-level attention to detail, equally comfortable working independently or in a team environment.
