About Rodrigo Schmitt
Space systems engineer and astrophysicist with hands-on experience developing mission-critical technologies across academia and startups. As Chief Commercial Officer at Translunar Exports & Servicing, I lead strategic communications and proposal writing for spaceflight hardware and software, contributing to SBIR/STTR efforts and partnerships in relative navigation and computer vision for satellite servicing.I have also completed a PhD in Aeronautics & Astronautics at Purdue, where my research merged digital twins, Reinforcement Learning and Explainable AI to architect future cislunar transportation systems. I\'ve co-founded space-focused initiatives, published in top aerospace venues, and served as an analog astronaut. My background in astrodynamics, spacecraft design, and AI makes me well-positioned to support emerging commercial space ventures and deep space exploration efforts-Website: https://rodrigo-schmitt.github.io/GitHub: https://github.com/rodrigo-schmitt/

Stellerian will become the new standard for safer and more robust satellite navigation systems, transforming the future of space operations and infrastructure. As one of the core competencies of our software stack, we have developed the ability to accurately track the position and orientation of foreign space objects in near-real time without the need for pre-positioned markers using computer vision.
