Recruited by BP Exploration Colombia in December 1990, had the opportunity to work in a number of positions and projects with diverse teams (in different parts of the world), focused on the different aspects of well planning and construction. Started in the field as a Drilling Foreman Assistant and escalated through different positions to the current Sr. Sand Control Completions Engineer role. Several challenges kept my passion for the oil industry (specifically engineering-planning-execution coupled with training-development of young engineers), all commenced with the drilling difficulties resulting from tectonic stresses (as is the case of the Foothills in Colombian and the Highlands in Papua New Guinea), followed by the complexity of selecting and designing sand control completions in highly heterogeneous reservoir sands (some with significant depletion) for producers and even more difficult for water injectors.Specialties: Well planning detailed engineering.

   Sand Face Completion for Water Injection in Unconsolidated Sands\" project lead. Includes engineering and R&D work coordination with BP experts. Contibute in training clasess such as in the Waterflood Methods and practices (Water Injection Well Performance Session), also in the regions integration and sharing of lessons learned.
