I’m a creative and financial professional focused on growth, on deepening the connections I have with my network, and on finding new challenges to take on! After serving as one of the Managing Editors for the Editorial team at Seeking Alpha for 3 years, I\'m now entering the public sector as a business counselor for the NC Small Business and Technology Development Center. In this role, I\'ll be working with pre-venture as well as small business clients on identifying and meeting their operational needs as part of my home state\'s economic development effort. Outside of my previous full-time roles, my other professional endeavors include:• Building a strong presence on key social media platforms like Instagram and YouTube• Writing more articles that have a professional tone and perspective• Continuing to work on my passion projects like my farmland• Learning more about different types of marketing (e.g. affiliate, influencer, FB/IG ads)Before SA, I spent 1½ years at Lennar Corporation working in finance and accounting roles. Prior to this, I graduated from the University of Miami\'s Full-Time MBA Program in 2014, with concentrations in Finance and Mergers & Acquisitions. I also earned my Six Sigma Black Belt Certification through my work experience with the University of Miami Hospital and Jackson Memorial Hospital. I have the pleasure of being a Double Cane, having received my BA from UM prior to entering the MBA program. My undergraduate course of study was Philosophy, which helped me develop my verbal and written communication skills. Philosophy is derived from the ancient Greek prefix and suffix \"philo-\' and \"-sophia\", which translates to \"love of wisdom\"; I feel that this characterizes me well. I love learning and I firmly believe that a person\'s education never truly ends. I also have a strong interest in entrepreneurship and I have helped colleagues review and improve business plans. I even finished my own for a clothing company. I am driven by my desire to provide for my family, to serve as a role model in the community, and to be engaged intellectually. I look forward to bringing this passion to the new challenges that await me on the horizon.
