Serves as Defensive Coordinator for a Division II program. Leads and coaches according to the NCAA, State, National, CIAA and Institutional guidelines. Provides support to the Head Coach in all aspects of on-field coaching, player development, academic success, recruiting, film study, practice organization, position meetings, scouting opponents, and special teams coaching. Responsible for Defensive Scout Team and Game Plan development; recruits assigned area, monitors strength and conditioning of athletes; and is accountable for the performance of the Defensive team, including strategy, planning and adjustments. Responsibilities include community service/public relations, locker room, high school/junior college relations, and the supervision and training of assistant coaches assigned to the deffensive staff. Coordinates activities critical to a successful football program; and performs other duties as assigned.
