Monitoring Mainframe Online & Batch processes for continuous improvement, this would include reducing mainframe batch & online runtimes, CPU reduction, VSAM / ISAM file management & Syncsort enhancements. These processes directly affect application costs or Elapsed Time. I also monitor SQL, COBOL, & DB2 performance. I consult with the application areas on Performance Tools that are available for use and work closely with these areas to insure proper usage of these tools. In addition, I am responsible for keeping certain performance tools up to date concerning maintenance levels and upgrades.
