About Rodger Wenzlaff
At Net Synergy we provide automation services to clients and we provide apprenticeships to learners. Our apprentices are employees, not students and so are building their skills while also building their resume by working on real-world programing projects. Our apprentices learn more than a language or a stack because they pair their daily learning with daily real-world tasks. We go beyond what a boot-camp can do because boot camps don\'t provide experience. No matter how good the theoretical examples and classroom projects are, they aren\'t real. We go beyond internships because our apprentices are working on projects for real clients as early as month one. They are employees, not students and while they spend more time training than most employees they are providing value to the company and consequently gaining real experience, not just doing tasks that could be done by a low skill temp. They maintain (and create!) tools used by our staff and students every day, they create/maintain automation bots for clients (with lots of oversight), they mentor students in later cohorts. They do all the things that a Jr. Developer does. and then some. Week 1 they are already doing daily Agile stand ups. Month 1 they are already solving real coding problems and their solutions are implemented into production (someone else implements during month 1). This is the thing that has been missing from software development education programs. Bootcamps try to do it but they don\'t have customers that need programing services. Few (if any) internships dedicate the resources to do it. Apprentices have existed for actual millennia for good reason. Software development is now going to benefit from the approach. With A D Corporation specializes in IT vendor management, process improvement, web application design and development, customization of Microsoft Office & Google Applications, automation, and management of the related projects. At PwC I managed the remote education and communications services and technologies for the US firm of partners and staff. I saved the firm $15 million in annual costs by transitioning classes to a blend of virtual and face to face. The blend allowed for cost avoidance while preserving the important networking opportunities at water coolers between classes. During my last 5 years at PwC, before starting my own company, I initiated or materially contributed to the implementation of projects and process improvements that totaled over $23 million in repeated cost savings annually.
