As the lead for TFT’s (Teamfight Tactics) 6th and 7th set, I’ve been responsible for all player-facing words that are not an actual part of the game’s interface. This means coordinating preview events for press and influencers, assisting devs in interviews (blogs, video essays, press), crafting player-facing messaging, launching information campaigns, and writing scripts for our video content. As TFT has grown, my role has become more specialized in the writing space for our video and written content. As we near the release of our 11th set, I continue to deliver consistent, and familiar communications with our player community at the center of every tactic. Of course, there’s also the work of a communications professional that never sees the light of day: internal communications, crisis management, and most importantly, providing a voice for our player community internally; a key component of my role that differentiates it from others in the career. In addition to my work with TFT, I’ve worked on communications for Riot Game’s global Pride campaigns for LGBTQIA+ folks both internally and externally.
