About Rodger Russell.

I am a rising senior at Jackson State University, student research assistant, and entrepreneur. I am currently working on the DOE-backed \"HBCU Clean Energy Project,\" which aims to create high-capacity alternatives to lithium-ion batteries. We have tested Chalcogen-Based electrodes and compared the charge/ discharge profiles, electrochemical impedance data, charge discharge capacity, and cycling performance to their non-chalcogen based counterparts. In addition to participating in electrochemical materials based research, I also serve as Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Facebloom Analytics LLC, a startup that uses artificial intelligence, applied mathematics and machine learning to provide cosmetic advice and facial similarity scores. During my tenure at Facebloom, I have used data and applied mathematics to build the algorithm, trained the Al model via machine learning, led an 8-person developer team, coordinated finances and operations. The mobile app is currently available for download on the App Store. I hope to use the experiences and network that I have gained from my research opportunities, future graduate program, and entrepreneurial venture to launch a startup in the deep tech space that uses artificial intelligence to model GPUs, semiconductors, batteries, and electronic devices.
