ABOUT RODDY DENNIS FRAES
Roddy served in the Royal Air Force for 28 years, retiring as an Air Commodore (1 Star General Officer). His service was primarily focused on operations in command and staff appointments, including commanding all UK Combat Air Forces in the Middle East. An experienced senior leader across a diverse list of appointments, he has worked in multinational operational and strategic headquarters supporting national security efforts. He is also a graduate of the Global Strategy Program at the Royal College of Defense Studies aimed at senior government, military and industry leadership. He was recognized nationally for his military service and appointed an Officer of the British Empire (OBE) and received a Queens Commendation for Valuable Service (QCVS) by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. He is also a fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society (FRAeS). After retiring from the Royal Air Force, Roddy made a successful transition into civilian aviation in the United States where he serves as a Captain on the Boeing 737, and an AVIATE Program Coach for United Airlines. In addition, he continues to use his military and civilian aviation experience, leadership, risk management and program management expertise as an aerospace consultant and advisor. He also volunteers as a board member of the Honorary Company of Air Pilots (North America Region) and the chair of their Technical and Safety Committee, which includes membership of their International Technical Forum, focused on highlighting important issue for the membership and wider professional aviation community.
