Plans, manages, and controls the day-to-day activities of a team that provides operational support (LAN, WAN, VPN Network Support, firewalls, Cisco Routers, switches etc.) to clients in various industries including: transportation, health, finance, retail, state and local government• Manages and sustains business relationships with a broad spectrum of more than 153 clients• Manages the availability and connectivity for approximately 15,362 devices for the Enterprise Command Center’s client base • Interacts with various functional Networking, Mainframe, Midrange and Server Groups• Interviews and coordinates training of new employees and assigns daily tasks to more than 92 Domestic and International Network Operations employees • Manages third party Telco and Hardware replacement vendor performance• Performs daily, weekly and monthly performance and redundancy testing for multiple clients• Implements procedures for operational processes; tracks operations initiatives to completion• Ensures employee conformance to established policies, procedures and best practices• Develops and evaluates personnel ensuring efficient command center operations• Performs post due diligence for newly acquired business to achieve contract initiatives• Facilitates internal compliance training for global industry standards including ITIL and for employees• Participates in various projects to ensure adherence to external audit requirements such as PCI, HIPAA and BSI (British Standards Institution) • Travels to provide onsite training for leveraged global resources in India and other locations• Coordinates network repairs, dispatches the appropriate vendor/specialists and tracks network testing assignments and circuit repairs• Coordinates and communicates potential outages with clients due to scheduled and unscheduled vendor maintenance
