Information Technology Specialist, GS-22••••01/2023 – PresentNational Endowment for the Arts (NEA), Washington, DC Manage, supervise, lead, administer, develop, deliver, and support information technology (IT) systems and services: serve as the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and principal advisor to the Information System Owner (SO) on all matters involving the security of on-premise and cloud-based information systems and services for an independent federal agency. Work independently and collaborate closely with and report to the GS-2210-15 Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and to the SES-rank Chief Information Officer (CIO). Apply expert knowledge of the full range of computer, information, cyber, and telecommunications security issues to assure effectiveness within a large organization\'s information security program. Provide advice and instruction on cyber security issues. Participate in collecting and analyzing technical and management data associated with agency cyber security programs. Maintain continued technical liaison with the appropriate staff elements throughout the agency. Exchange information in connection with cyber security requirements.Ensure the implementation and maintenance of all CISO and CIO Information Technology (IT) and Information Security (IS) controls, goals, and objectives in accordance with the NEA Security Plan and policies. Provide guidance, oversight, and expertise, and assist in the development of IT security. Collaboratively help establish and implement enterprise IT security policies, standards, and guidance for the NEA Information Technology infrastructure, risk management framework, enterprise common control, and continuous monitoring programs. Plan, develop, implement, and maintain information security (IS) programs, policies, and procedures to protect the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of NEA systems, networks, and data.
