Managed both the hardware and software development of important company products for key customers including the following: o Echostar XXI ground based beam forming system to provide a European Union S-band spot beam mobile based satellite system o Iridium Advanced Network Controller that was originally designed and developed by Hughes. The Iridium Corporation employs satellite constellation providing voice and data coverage to satellite phones, pagers and integrated transceivers over the Earth\'s entire surface.• Led the development of enhanced features for the company’s HN/HX flag ship service in providing new features and improving the system’s reliability by over 25 percent over a 9 month period.• Responsibilities included managing budgets, schedules and ensuring products met all quality objectives as identified by best current practices.• Also successfully managed the development and completion of the gateway used to provide mobile satellite service for the ICO Global Communications Mobile Communications Alpha Platform (MCAP) program. The gateway was used to provide mobile satellite services using a terminal that was developed by our west-coast division.• Led team of off-shore engineers in the development of selected DirecPC satellite based Internet feature enhancements.• As technical program manager, I was responsible for the overall feature designs, requirements management, schedule tracking, system and customer documentation. It was my responsibility to make sure our customers were properly trained in operating the systems we deployed.
