Continuously working to elevate employee engagement by championing and supporting all aspects of safety and health for employees. Provide technical guidance to employees regarding health and safety issues. Attend safety meetings to promote awareness and provide internal customer support. Develop and provide specialized training, in the classroom or field. Develop, present, and assist in the implementation of safe work practices and procedures based on on-site observations, data sampling, and regulatory compliance. Perform investigations of incidents and near misses, including the writing of reports, and sharing of findings with appropriate work groups or across the organization, including Root Cause Analysis. Assist with work practice assessments to ensure compliance. Uphold the safety compliance standards inherent in PSE\'s operating and/or field procedures related to work responsibilities. Promote and support a culture of total safety. Diligently reviews safety regulations, PSE safety requirements, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and reduce workplace risks. Perform work in both the office and field, under various conditions and/or environments.Serve as the lead safety liaison for various work groups in a region or business unit(s).Provide guidance and insight to employees and leaders on various safety initiatives.Work to set or maintain high safety standards focused on reducing the risk of employee injury.Identify gaps in safety expectations and/or performance, and systematically work to close those gaps.Actively recognizes employees and work groups for desired safety performance.Promote an open safety culture and help to identify and overcome objections or resistance to safety expectations.Work collaboratively within the Safety Department, and all operational groups within PSE.Coordinate various safety activities and develop safety plans and procedures.
