   Rod is an audit partner in KPMG’s Portland office. He has more than 23 years of experience in auditing and accounting services. He also serves as the partner in charge of our Audit and Technology practice for the Portland office.Rod has experience working with both private and public companies in many industries including, high technology, aircraft, manufacturing, start-ups, and telecom companies. His experience includes accounting for mergers and acquisitions including purchase price allocation, preparing combined financial information, and determining proper accounting treatment; assessing systems of internal controls and recommending areas for improvement of key accounting processes. He also advises companies on conforming financial statements for the IPO process, crafting portions of the prospectus, handling multi-currency environments, and responding to the comments of the SEC staff relating to accounting matters.Rod has experience working on merger and acquisition accounting, primary and secondary offerings, foreign currency hedging, multinational operations, complicated consolidations, coordinating audits with multiple locations across the world, and semiconductor costing and accounting. He participates in various local and national initiatives of KPMG, and is involved in delivering trainings and presentations through his role in the Technology Association of Oregon (TAO) finance committee.
