About Rocky Yosek

I have over 10 years of experience in the amazing field of Urban Forestry and have been an ISA Certified Arborist since 2016, Tree Risk Assessment Qualified (TRAQ) since 2019 and obtained my ISA Municipal Specialist certification in 2020. For almost a decade I managed the operations at Trees for Tucson, a nonprofit tree program of Tucson Clean & Beautiful. During my time working there I led large scale tree plantings, taught tree care workshops around the community, led mapping and assessment projects, and worked with local utility companies to direct the operations of two energy efficiency tree distribution programs where I delivered approximately trees to area utility customers. In 2019 I joined PlanIT Geo, an urban forestry consulting and geospatial software as a service (SaaS) company, as a Tree Inventory Specialist. At PlanIT Geo I contribute to data collection in tree inventories and tree risk assessments across the country utilizing the company\'s proprietary software: Tree Plotter. I also contribute to inventory data quality control, mapping documents, and other project deliverables as well as new client training and assisting communities applying for grant opportunities. Shortly after starting the position I began assisting our Urban Forestry Consulting Services department in the development of Urban Forest Management Plans for communities. In 2020 I began working more closely with the Software Development team to help provide feedback on new releases, software troubleshooting, and new application set up for tree inventory projects.
