   JOB SUMMARY / GENERAL DESCRIPTION:Responsible for the operation of Claims Services Inc.(CSI) which is a wholly owned subsidiary of McLane Company Inc. Directs all employees of the business unit. Responsible for performance management and accountable for loss and expense results through cost effective and timely resolution of all claims and claims litigation. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:• Work with Risk, Legal, and Corporate Management regarding status and direction of claims and litigated files. • Manage the external special investigations and fraud function with Veracity Research Company• Serve as the Corporate Sponsor for the Risk Management Information System (RMIS) • Manage the day-to-day RMIS enterprise,• Ensures compliance with insurance state regulations, policies, procedures, and the State(s) Fair Claims Settlement Practices Act in a multi jurisdiction setting.• Manage, budget, and control resources to ensure operations of CSI are within established standards.• Oversee Medicare Compliance and Section Reporting of liability claims.• Direct the Accident After Hours Program for DOT and significant exposure events. • Direct the Claims Litigation Program.• Monitor lawsuit activity, litigation timelines and litigation reviews. • Direct the Serious Claim Review Program.• Review and provide reportable claims to the broker, carrier, and excess carriers.• Monitor outside vendor performance and outside defense attorney performance• Establish the appropriate metrics necessary to drive timely claim outcomes• Reports to senior leadership regarding claim reports, outcomes, and overall performance• Keep current on state/territory regulations and issues, industry activity and trends. • Participate in industry trade groups such as Trucking Industry Defense Association, Claims Association, and Risk Management Society.
