As Eli Lilly IPM Associate Vice President Engineering, Rocio is providing administrative and technical leadership for the site engineering direction (process engineering, maintenance, project engineering, process automation, facilities management, utilities operation and engineering competencies) as well as Health Safety and Environment (HSE) for the large-scale Indianapolis Parenteral Manufacturing (IPM) site.Rocio spent 17 years in Pfizer, being her last role Pfizer Global Engineering Sterile Injectable Cluster Lead (Director)- where she provided engineering leadership and customer interface activities for the Sterile Injectables Operations network (in Europe and USA). The breadth of this role included working closely with the Operation Unit VP, Site Engineering Team Leaders, and OpU Functional Leads regarding all areas of engineering, including contract safety, global reliability program, energy demand management, utility operations, capital planning and execution, automation, engineering talent planning, and other Pfizer Global Engineering programs and initiatives.Throughout her + 25 year engineering career, mostly focused on Industrial Automation, Rocio enjoyed several roles before joining Pfizer, that ultimately drove her to work in a multicultural environment - that is one of her passions. Within Pfizer she asked and succeeded on challenges like being part of Pfizer Global Engineering - working internationally with Europe, USA, China, India, Australia, Japan - relocating to the USA from Spain, or leading the global automation for Pfizer covid-19 vaccine, that is the most exciting and impactful project she has ever lead so far.Based on her experience, Rocio is advocate on women’s and next generation careers. She is part of several organizations that support women on STEM careers and mentors several colleagues.She holds a Bachelor Degree on Industrial Engineering, by Universidad de Alcala (Madrid, Spain) and a Master Degree on Business Administration by EAE business school (Spain).
