About Rochelle Roget
Passionate and ambitious art educator and interdisciplinary artist. I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at New York University in Studio Art and will soon to be obtaining a Masters of Art Teaching degree in Art Education at Rhode Island School of Design by Spring 2027. Skilled in various creative mediums such as painting, drawing, sculpture, video work, and printmaking, as well as some experience in photography. I am diligent in my artistic practice and work ethic to provide great service and assistance wherever I go. With knowledge of diverse artists, art history, digital brand marketing, and a drive to progressively learn new skills and approaches in the arts industries, I will be an asset to your company.Previous experience of mine in regard to teaching has been at the P.S. 59 Beekman Hill International School in New York, NY where I tutored fourth graders and was a teaching assistant to a fourth grade teacher for the duration of the 20••••23 school year. During that time, I was able to connect with these students on an academic and personal level so that I would be able to help each of them individually achieve their goals. Due to the school being international, I was able to work with a diverse group of children who each had different identities and backgrounds, requiring my assistance at various levels. My other experience in educational settings has focused around arts education at the Brooklyn Children’s Museum, The Whitney Museum of American Art, and the Studio Museum in Harlem assisting teaching artists in art lessons for diverse groups of NYC children and families and helping museum staff with daily tasks. I also worked as a program assistant for high school summer students at NYU’s Weinstein Hall in the summer of 2023. I aim to leverage my abilities to successfully fulfill a role at any workplace I step foot in.
