ABOUT ROCHELLE INBAKUMAR

I am a Paralegal (Copyright & AI) at The Birdella Group, where I support the development of Thelonious, our human-verified intelligence platform on copyright and AI law. My experience spans in-house paralegal work, alongside internships and work experiences in private practice, which has helped me build a strong foundation in legal research, client engagement, and commercial legal support.I hold an LLB in Law (Hons) from City, University of London, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (Solicitor) from BPP Law School, supported by a Career Commitment Scholarship. I was also awarded a bursary from the University of Oxford and am currently completing the \'AI University Foundations\' module, strengthening my understanding of AI systems and their legal, regulatory, and governance implications.I am also the Founder of Byte Sized Legal, a multimedia platform translating complex developments in technology and law into clear, accessible insights for legal audiences in the UK and internationally. Alongside student and early-career legal ambassadors, I analyse emerging regulatory change, industry news and case law. I am passionate about legal journalism, and continue to write for publications such as The BluePrint Brief.
