As a Laboratory Analyst, I am responsible for testing a variety of drinking water treatment units and chemicals in the Product Testing Lab. This position is also responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of tests related to WQA projects. Key responsibilities for this role include:• Performing a variety of routine lab testing, such as performance testing, structural integrity testing,and materials safety testing• Conducting standard sample analyses against various industry standards, such as NSF/ANSI, CSA,WQA, etc.• Correctly assembling, installing, and breaking down various water treatment test units• Documenting and recording all test procedures and sample results• Creating reports related to testing and sample results and ensuring the information is provided toproject managers, external clients, and various WQA Certification staff in an accurate and timelymanner• Interacting with clients to create custom testing protocols• Writing and revising WQA Lab standard operating procedures and standard test methods• Test bench and instrument maintenance, calibration, and preparation of all equipment necessaryfor testing• Assisting in training new Analysts and Technicians in standard operating procedures, standard testmethods, and sample analyses• Drafting and preparing Corrective Action Reports (CARs) related to process improvement• Continuously meeting all WQA ongoing training and education requirements as determined bythe WQA Laboratory Senior Manager, including CWS/MWS and CI status• Having a thorough understanding of the Laboratory Quality Assurance Plan (LQAP)
