Lead enterprise-wide litigation, employment, and labor strategy for a multi-property hospitality platform across the U.S. and Latin America, overseeing a portfolio that includes commercial, general liability, premises liability, guest claims, and labor matters. Direct high-volume litigation with a focus on risk mitigation, cost control, and minimizing operational disruption, while managing outside counsel across jurisdictions, including selection, budgeting, and performance oversight. Oversee case evaluation, reserves, settlement strategy, and trial preparation, and partner with insurers, brokers, and TPAs on coverage and risk transfer. Lead labor arbitrations end-to-end and manage Latin America litigation and labor matters in coordination with local counsel. Serve as primary advisor on employment and labor law for a geographically dispersed workforce, advising on wage and hour, terminations, investigations, RIFs, accommodations, and executive employment matters. Provide strategic counsel on union issues, including CBA interpretation, grievances, arbitrations, and collective bargaining, and partner with HR and operations to support union relationships and ensure compliance with U.S. and international labor laws. Identify and mitigate legal risks across hotel operations, oversee responses to agency charges and regulatory inquiries (EEOC, DOL, NLRB, and Latin American authorities), and monitor legal developments. Lead and develop a high-performing legal team, partner with executive leadership to align legal strategy with business objectives, deliver practical, business-focused advice, and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and litigation management.
