20+ years of experience in Banking Industry, most of the time in market risk and counterpartycredit risk management, primarily within major banking institutions. Currently serving as a Traded Risk Assurance Manager at HSBC UK and most recently worked as Head of Traded Risk at HSBC Brasil S/A.In my current role I provide Second Line of Defence (2LoD) independent assurance to market andcounterparty credit risk (CCR) control framework. In my previous roles I used to oversee risk management and control functions, ensuring compliance with both internal and regulatory standards (Local and PRA). My expertise includes defining and approving risk appetites, designing risk mandate and risk control framework, measuring, and controlling risk exposures through various metrics. Also worked in several projects involving risk and FO systems implementation. In addition to be an individual contributor I’m also leading an offshore multidisciplinary team (based in India) of 5 people, from my past roles used to manage teams ranging from 2 up to 10 people.
