I am a newly qualified and graduate Quantity surveyor with newly learnt skills which include the following: Cost estimating and cost planning: assisting with the preparation of cost estimates and budgets for construction projects, based on specifications and drawings. Quantity take-off: measuring and quantifying materials and labor required for a project based on drawings and specifications. Cost control: assisting in the monitoring and control of project costs, including tracking and reporting on actual costs versus budgeted costs. Valuation and payment: assisting in the preparation of interim and final payment applications to clients, including valuations of work completed and materials delivered. Health and safety: assisting in ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with health and safety regulations and guidelines. Communication: communicating with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that all parties are informed of project progress, issues, and solutions.
