I have worked for 25 years with young people who want to earn a college degree. I happened upon these meaningful experiences as a graduate student working with minority, first-generation, and Pell-eligible pre-education majors. Today, I want to apply my skills to support organizations in increasing the impact of their services on the customer, population, or area of need through effective design and evaluation.

1. Manager, Grants and Contracts

   Advocates for Basic Legal Equality, Inc

   As manager for grants and contracts, I work across multiple teams to provide oversight of the coordination and management of grants, contracts, and funder agreements and assurances. I supervise the Grants and Contracts department to manage more than 90 grants ranging from a few thousand to several million dollars from foundations, private funders, federal agencies, and foreign governments. Working in collaboration with the Executive Director, I oversee the grant cycle from identification and research to submission of the proposals, reports and close-out procedures. I manage relationships with funders through initiating contact, overseeing communication, clarifying post-award requirements, updating contact lists, and maintaining the funder database.
