Oversee Programs Department, assuring high quality classes and support groups for people with mental health conditions and their families throughout the state of Utah. Direct, train, support and supervise staff of three, and an intern. Oversee State Training and certification process of new teachers and support group facilitators, as well as training of state trainers.Strengthen thirteen NAMI Affiliate Boards working to develop capacity and assure their success in offering NAMI Programs by providing guidance, resources, tools, and problem solving.Oversee Youth MOVE Utah, a program focusing on empowering young adults to advocate for mental illness and systems change by hosting annual youth empowerment trainings and leadership opportunities that build a stronger young adult consumer voice in policy and in the community.Act as key facilitator in developing new partnerships for NAMI Programs such as Progression, a course for adolescents and young adults with mental health conditions. Increase presence of NAMI Programs in the Spanish speaking community, by working closely with the NAMI Latino Task Force, and by supervising a Community Engagement Intern. Launching new NAMI Homefront program in partnership with the Veterans Administration, to provide education and support to families of veterans or military personnel.
