About Robin Adamowicz
I started with The Walt Disney Company at my local Disney Store on my eighteenth birthday and have never looked back! Following my time at the Disney Store, I took on multiple internships at Walt Disney World before joining the disability services team at Disney Cruise Line and Adventures by Disney. Since moving back to Connecticut in 2014, I have been a part of Talent Acquisition with ESPN, Corporate, Disney Entertainment, and Disney Entertainment & ESPN Technology, meaning that I have officially worked for every Disney segment except for Disney Studios (but they’re on my list!). Openly neurodivergent and disabled, I was thrilled to have the chance to serve my community in the role of Emerging Talent Consultant, Neurodiversity. While that role ended following a company-wide reorganization, I am extremely proud of the impact it made in the short time it existed. I have been a lifelong disability advocate and am always grateful for the chance to pair my expertise in the disability community with my deep knowledge of The Walt Disney Company to create meaningful change and equitable, inclusive, and accessible experiences for our neurodivergent population. I founded the Neurodivergent Collective, a cross-functional, enterprise-wide think tank comprised of neurodivergent employees and allies that is focused on advancing the experience of neurodivergent employees and consumers, and also founded and lead our Neurodivergent@Disney community group. I am co-chair for the ESPN chapter of Enabled, our disability business employee resource group (BERG), and serve on the enterprise-wide advisory board for the BERG. I help drive other key disability advancement work happening across the enterprise, including the reimagining of our accommodations process, evolving our digital accessibility offerings, and as an active member of the enterprise disability workgroup. I frequently provide consultation on best practices for both internal/employee and external/consumer accessibility and authentic disability representation across the enterprise. In working with our consultancy partner Disability:IN, I serve as The Walt Disney Company’s representative for their Talent Acquisition Committee and also lead the Disability:IN Next Gen Leaders dedicated internship recruitment process at ESPN in partnership with ESPN NEXT and Disney Campus Programs.
