ABOUT ROBIN YOUNG
I am a nurse practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from UMass Chan Medical School’s Tan Chingfen Graduate School of Nursing. My clinical interests include palliative care, acute care, oncology, and LGBTQIA+ health, with a focus on delivering compassionate, evidence-based care to patients navigating complex and serious illnesses.I currently work as a palliative care nurse practitioner at UMass Memorial Health and am board certified as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP-BC). Before entering nursing, I worked as a clinical social worker and earned my Master of Social Work (MSW) in 2004. I maintain active licensure as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW).With a background in both nursing and social work, I bring a holistic, person-centered perspective to patient care—addressing physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs to support high-quality, individualized outcomes.
